I'm in the SB with 8c9c. UTG Raises to 7. Everyone calls (7 players went to the flop)
Flop is 563 with 1 club. Checks around to MP2 who raises to 20
Folds to me. I really want to see a turn card, so I actually call. By far the loosest call I made of the night but I had nice pot odds and a lot of turn cards improve my hand.
Turn card is a 7 of clubs (I have the nut straight)
UTG announces All in for 118
Folds to me
I call (lol he pushed a stack of chips and I called him with a hundo chip that I had taken off some other guy and 3 fives and 3 ones.........cool feeling)
UTG announces STRAIGHT!
Ben Announces ME TOO (thinking CRAP split pot)
UTG flips over 84o
Ben Rejoices as he rakes it a monster pot.
Everyone at the table is slack jawed as I rake in. I give hot hot hot vietnamese dealer 10 dollar tip.
I laid down a few hands I was 80% sure I was good last night, but when it came to showdown I was flipping over the goods, even so that was the loosest call pre I had made.
I think I played it right though.
Edit: Come to think of it that was probably the only CALL I made pre flop, I was normally the aggressor when I was in a hand and actually 3 bet quite a few people and just generally played absolutely awesome poker.
