First real money internet game ever
Just turned 18 this week and i was looking to play sum online poker for REAL money..
Put 60 dollars into my account and started off small, .05/.10 limit rooms (u know just to get the feel of real money). Anyways after 30 mins of that shit and only being up 50 cents, i decided to look for sum other games, maybe sum NL... NL was my specialty with playchips.
Bought into a .05/.10 NL hold'em room with 5 dollars... 30 min later i was up 10 dollars.. SHIt this was easy...
lol or i thought
made a rookie move:tryed to outplay sum guy stealing the pot,.. he had half the number of chips i did, we were heads up, then he made a weak raise after the flop i reraised,. he called, i raised agian on the turn, he called(at this point there was 3 hearts on the board) then the lucky river was another heart which also completed my straightl.. instead of checking i raised and got called,, and lost to the flush..(its turns out he was trying to steal also) after i went on tilt and lost the other 5 dollars..
but hey this is the glory corner. I stopped playing and i took about 2 hours and really thought about what happened, it was a rookie move.. That can fly with play chips but here you'll pay. I bought into another NL hold'em (after gathering myself) for 5 dollars and was up about ten dollars after another hour of play. Left that room and entered into a NL SNG, 6 dollar buy in with 18 ppl. Well i played great had the chip lead for most of it and ended up coming forth and won 9 dollars. All in all i finished that day up 30 dollars AMERICAN, thats like 40 canadian. I learned alot to,
#1) SNG's are alot harder with real money,
and alot about self-disicpline. But hey not bad for my first day..
