AS JKo jsut recent yelled at me, what card are you afraid of here? A check probably would have gotten the same result when you bet on the river. But you had position on him, let him catch up.

He could be on a draw, and pays $1 to see river (1BB), or called me down with a pair of aces or queens(2BB: what I was going for obviously).

Although thinking about it, if he was aggressive enough, I could have possibly induced a bluff by checking behind on turn(2BB).

Usually the hardest part of playing the MONSTER hands is getting paid. Usually you hit so hard that nobody else can even call the smallest bets. I dont think you did anything wrong, you cant lose the hand... might as well try to maximize.....

Had to post this one from today...

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with , . MP3 posts a blind of $2.
5 folds, MP3 (poster) checks, CO calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Flop: (7 SB) , , (4 players)
Hero bets, MP3 calls, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, MP3 folds, CO calls.

Turn: (7 BB) (3 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

River: (9 BB) (3 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Results below:
Hero has (straight flush, ace high).
CO has (straight, king high).
Button doesn't show.
Outcome: Hero wins 11 BB.

That's like 3 weeks since my first one. If you count the one JTs hand that I posted about in the river rats section, that would be like 3 royals for me in 3 weeks. Not bad, yo?

BTW, I suck out GOOOOOOOOD.

(even though it was nearly even money on the flop)
