Default Mob Money

I cashed in the PS $1 Limit Omaha (high-only) event last night.

Went out on serisous tilt and exhaustion in 26th out of 650 place. Which put me in the third pay grade.

I lost a 15k pot to a short stack who put a terrible suck out on my, actually a couple of them (AAxx flop A69 and this idiot gets all-in with 2345 and hits a runner runner straight). Then I get AAT2ds in the SB, button raises, I reraise.

I get 8k invested but for I realize I am probably drawing very slim and at that point bed look really good. I should have just post and folded myself out instead of giving him all my chips.

Still, I am fairly happy my result.

Good job Beavis, I've always wondered what would happen if I made it far along in a tourney then just post&fold my way to busting out.

I played in a tournament the other night and I was waaay too tired to play. I literally slept throught the first hour sitting in my chair in front of my computer. I woke up every time the sound went off alerting me it was my turn to act. Funny stuff.

Why were you playing that tired? I was on for 3 hours and 10 beers and suffered a few bad beats before the exhaustion took hold.

I am really pissed for blowing my stack like that, but my eyes where haveing a hard time focusing. Excuses excuses.

Yeah, it was a dumb move playing that tired. I didn't think I was THAT tired...until the first hand was dealt and I dozed off. doh!

3 hours & 10 beers...lol. It always sucks when you have a nice stack then lose it due to poor playing. But we are supposed to learn from our mistakes or something, right?

Well, I didn't have a "nice" stack, I had a playable one at the start of the hand.

Here is the tilt hand:

*********** # 1 **************
PokerStars Game #1434805678: Tournament #6452295, Omaha Limit - Level XIII (3000/6000) - 2005/03/29 - 01:05:09 (ET)
Table '6452295 17' Seat #8 is the button
Seat 1: Winchester45 (28680 in chips)
Seat 2: SooperGloo (15163 in chips)
Seat 3: Party Kid (50860 in chips)
Seat 4: bignelly (54756 in chips)
Seat 5: beavis68 (26922 in chips)
Seat 7: raprob (9980 in chips)
Seat 8: blanchar40 (21486 in chips)
Seat 9: upthegut2 (32686 in chips)
upthegut2: posts small blind 1500
Winchester45: posts big blind 3000
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to beavis68 [Ad 5s 2c Ac]
SooperGloo: folds
Party Kid: folds
bignelly: raises 3000 to 6000
beavis68: raises 3000 to 9000 I have a good hand
raprob: folds
blanchar40: folds
upthegut2: folds
Winchester45: folds
bignelly: calls 3000

22,500 in the pot.
*** FLOP *** [8h 8d Td]
bignelly: checks
beavis68: bets 3000
bignelly: raises 3000 to 6000
beavis68: raises 3000 to 9000
bignelly: raises 3000 to 12000 - pretty good indication I am beaten, but there is now 43,500 in the pot, and I only have about 9k left. Folding incorrectly here would be terrible, if he has an 8 or a T I am almost drawing dead. I believe Marm said "I hope you have a flush draw"

beavis68: calls 3000
*** TURN *** [8h 8d Td] [3d]
bignelly: bets 6000
beavis68: calls 5922 and is all-in - why not?
*** RIVER *** [8h 8d Td 3d] [Tc]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
bignelly: shows [Jc 4s As 8c] (three of a kind, Eights)

You put all your money in with AJ84?? Oh it's on now..... if I had any chips left.
beavis68: shows [Ad 5s 2c Ac] (two pair, Aces and Tens)
bignelly collected 58344 from pot

Maybe I should have folded to the check-raise and tried playing out my 14k, I don't know.

Actually looking at the hand now I feel a little better about it. The pot was huge, and was definitely worth fighting for, I thought I have more chips going into it, shows how tired I was.

This hand could have made the tournament worth playing.

I had a nice stack going into this, and this pot would have put up over 50K.
