No I watched a few orbits before I sat in, he was raising quite frequently plus it was only 1.5 to see the flop. To be honest I am up a good amount this weekend and honestly just felt like chasing thinking if i hit i would get paid.

Very few reads justify floating OOp with a gutshot in a smallish pot.
Maybe the guy cbets always and if he checks turn behind folds to river bet over 50% of the time may make it OK.

I typically watch the table for a bit before I sit down, but my question was also partly sarcastic..
