PokerStars Tournament #6493678, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $5.00/$0.50
18 players
Total Prize Pool: $90.00
Tournament started - 2005/03/27 - 23:17:17 (ET)

Dear ThadRL,

You finished the tournament in 1st place.
A $36.00 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

Congratulations!
Thank you for participating.

The cool thing is, 7-8 weeks ago I had less than $2 in my PS account, bought 20% of Doc (he needed .20 to enter a $1 7 stud (? Omaha 8b?) tourny, where he got to the final table (6th i think), beav gave me $5 for clearing my PP referal bonus. Then I started to grind out my BR, worked the $7 upto $50 at .05/.10, 9,000 hands of it. Cashed in a few MTT's, enough to basically break even, then played 2 2 table SNG's tonight... got my ass kicked in one, Won this one.

I know this is chump change to all of us. But the ability to take $2 and turn it into $75 after playing low variance poker (ie grinding at micro limits, not playing for my entire bank at NL each day) is kind of a vindication of a few years of work.

Good job, I built a "roll" starting on .02/.04 so its nice to see someone else do it.

I was about ready to just let my PS bankroll die when marm got me interested in this, it has been a fun challenge.

I have only logged about 3000 hands I think, but I went from 3 to 42 bucks (was at 48 - bad weekend). I was just going to play enough to maintain a bank for some cheap tourneys.

I built my bank playing $5 and up SnGs, and I have never been able to cash in a $1.

Maybe I don't take them serisouly enough. Of course, getting KK busted by 33 doesnt help any either.
