I will argue this to the death but I don't plan on going above 4 tables and I wouldn't recommend it. I don't honestly think anyone can play their A game on more than 4. While you might win a few more $/hr, it'll hurt your bb/100 and I think it also slows your learning of the game, which is a hugely important thing at the low stakes.

I used to play 3 on UB cos more than that would drive me insane (however see future glory corner post for update  ).

Dave- Four is my usual but I'm attempting to clear a $100 bonus. And Wota's turning me into a nit, so I'm only playing like 3% of hands anyway, which makes multi-tabling easier.
