I did that once in a SNG, Flopped Quad aces, ended up doubling up after I just fished every TC i could out the CL, who only had 1 bb more than me on the bubble .

Nice hand.. Why do you play at jackpot tables though?

The rake contribution sucks very much, but do you think that the players are worse since they dont mind paying more rake for such a long shot?

I play jackpot tables for a few reasons:

So far I've been online and playing and the jackpot has been hit 4 times. So I don't find it to be that much of a long shot. I figure if I play enough I'm going to be part of the badbeat table at some point. The jackpot gets hit all the time, may as well happen while I'm involved.

Alot of players call raises with suited connectors pre-flop, but then drop their hands when the flop misses them. This makes my pre-flop raising hands that much more valuable.

A few months back I was on a regular table and had my QQQQ lose to a straight flush. After that I said I'm going to play jackpot tables.

Do you really think it is that bad of a deal? The rake is more, but the play is a little looser.

I dont know when exactly they take the extra rake and i cant look for it right now. Our difference is that i consider it a very very long shot, so there is no reason to pay any extra rake.. It seems more like a lottery ticket to me.

If the tables are indeed looser then i have no objection.
