Hey guys, just wanted to place this thread up as I won my first SNG on PS in the $5 + $0.50 18 player SNG. I played tight (thax again for the advice on sticking to what works) counted on position, and solid hands to make it 1st. Only worth 36 bucks, but felt good in winning considering i busted out in a ring game 10 minutes before (23 dollar loss) with a flush My Q high lost to my opponents K high. But all is well, and I finally had something better than a 2nd place finish.
Onward, anyone have any advice as to how long I maybe should continue to play the lower limit SNG's before moving up? this is my first win since playing them for 1 1/2 weeks. I've placed 2nd 4 times, placed 1st once, and out of the money 3 times...all in the 5 + .50 SNG's.

Nice job diggler. I've been playing in a few myself and haven't broken into the money (4th place twice now) on PokerStars. I played on a $5 one on Noble Poker and placed 2nd. The advice I gathered from your threads worked quite well, picking the right hands to get involved with. From what I have heard, the competition in $5 and $10 SnG on PokerStars are relatively the same.
Ive played in 5 sngs (9 player), 4 4+40's (6th,2nd,2nd,1st) , 1 5+50 (3rd), still a newbie. The win in the 4+40 gets me a free ticket to a 24+2 tourament anytime I want. Can't wait, should be a good lesson.
