Did your poker software not come with a slider?

If you're gonna get it all-in, you need to build the pot more. Raise to around $3 on the turn. There's a heart draw that's never folding here in a million years, but it's folding every river when it misses. There are pairs that are never folding here, but they're folding every time the heart hits on the river.

With only 5 people, the game works differenly so I give some leniency. However, I hate calling UTG (Under The Gun - the very first person to a act after the hole cards are dealt). If you're going play A3o... play them. Either fold or raise 3xBB - always room to switch things up a bit of course. When you do hit the flop hard you got to get some money in to build the pot, I like a reraise of $2.00. The turn, I dont like the min raise... raise $2.50 for a total of $3.50 (more if there was more in pot from flop)

Sure you may lose an opponent who has nothing, but they're not likely to pay off anyway unless they catch something.

You really should be using the Hand Analysis forum and asking for more qualified people than me to provide a breakdown.

Raise pre-flop. You'll show strength so people will get out and you won't have as much of a chance of getting out-drawn. If you have a weak hand or something like A/A that you want to claim in later rounds is weak, then you MIGHT limp in (I know people will disagree on me with the A/A, especially at this level. In later levels, it would be deceiving your opponents, here, they really aren't paying attention. At this level, you raise with that, at later, you might, ON OCCASION, limp in). Once you hit the flop like that, you need to raise the guy. Also, on the river, I wouldn't go all in. You have the best hand, you want to get the most out of it. Going all in shows a large amount of strength, and if your opponent only has something like top pair or PP, he's not going to bite. If you just bet here, you might be able to squeeze a few more bb's out of the guy.

Edit: It would be different if you knew that he had something like 2 pair or trips, by the way. Then, you might want to go all in against a player who doesn't like to fold these hands.

Fold that cheese!!!!!!!!!

And please, stop being results oriented. You hit a miracle flop and you still only won a couple of bucks.

Since you're in the hand though, raise to 1.50 to 2 on the flop and try to get another 3-5 in on the turn, then a simple all in on the river.

Sorry Epic. Steve-O is right on this one. The problem is you wont totally get what we are trying to say if you have not read books about fundamentals like hand values and starting hands.

I +13,000,000 agree with folding. I just made a post saying "Hey, if you're gonna play, get some fuckin' money for it."

i said in Steve's other thread that patience is miles away from natural from me, so i do stupid shit and get lucky, I milk that shit to make up for my stupidity. Minraising at any time's never made up for anything.
