I was thinking should I bet the flop, but I put him on AKs rather than a higher pair. This is why I bet the river so much, because there is no way he can fold AK here considering the way the hand was played. He used his whole time bank before calling the river, but I was surprised at what he had.

I think your play and the reasoning for the play was perfect. if he was good. he would probable have been able to let it go. but none-the-less, i think u played it well. well done.

That's why I don't like to bet a paired board.
