Omaha8 on PS, just 5c/10c, I am trying to rebuild my roll on that site (why I don't know). MaidenFan had a PFO avatar at the table.

I call PF, 3 or 4 of us see the flop.

The flop is I didnt really like this flop, but I decided call though, my hand had so many possibilities.

The turn was a - ok this looks better, it is checked to me and I bet, two call.

River is the - ugh, it is checked to me and I just check and scoop the pot.

What was my hand? - POCKET TRIPS BABY.

I actually did have some thinking behind it, but they would probably better called "excuses".

Beav, I've got a question about Omaha8, what would the low hand be in that case? A456Q?

I do play this game, not so much anymore, But I dont belive I have ever seen a flop with a hand that has trips in it, Whats the point? IMO U HAVE to have 4 cards working for you, If not muck it every time.

IMO, at low Limits O8 if you just play better starters then the rest (not hard to do) and know when to bail you can win.

Ok, you asked why; first I would see a flop with AAA2 AAA3 or A222 everytime. I consider the trips to be counterfiet protection and the pair and suits give you some scoop potential.

In this case, I figured with three aces in my hand, A2 or A3 were mush less likely, i had suits and a pair of aces, and if a 2 or a 3 fell, I had a good shot at the low..... Also, it just looked like fun. I would not do this in a higher limit game (I hope). But I love scooping with pocket trips.

Or should I just say I thought I was playing Stud 8/b?
