Default Aces hold up! My biggest pot so far

I have only just starting playing Cash Games this week, so this is all pretty new to me. I seem to be running OK so far - I guess my experience playing Sit and Gos counts for something.

If someone did this to me in a hand I would put them on high PP, so I am quite suprised the way this hand turned out:

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.05/$0.10
9 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (9 players) ajrees is CO with
3 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, ajrees raises to $0.2, Button folds, SB raises to $0.5, BB folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, ajrees raises to $1.2, SB calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: ($3.8, 3 players)
SB checks, MP2 checks, ajrees bets $1, SB folds, MP2 calls.

Turn: ($5.8, 2 players)
MP2 checks, ajrees bets $1.4, MP2 raises to $4, ajrees calls.

River: ($13.8, 2 players)
MP2 bets $2, ajrees raises to $4
MP2 calls

Results:
Final pot: $21.8

now go outside and shoot yourself.

With two prior callers you MINMUM RAISED with aces on a 0.05/0.1 table.

Never, ever, ever do that again

Yes - raise this up to about 0.80/0.90 - especially with 2 callers on the micros. Don't be worried about not getting action, people will call you. Even if they folded in this hand you just won 3.5 big blinds.

Bet around $3 on the flop.

Also, when posting hands please post the stack sizes as well, they make a big difference to how you could / should play hand.

First of all, I should mention that the table was pretty tight, and my table image was quite aggressive, even for 0.05/0.10. In most hands there were usually 4/5 limpers into a pot if it was not raised, but when someone raised to 0.30./0.40 PF there would usually only be about 3 callers max. Raising to 0.80/0.90 as you suggested would probably not get a single caller.

Secondly, I should note that I already hate myself for min-raising with Aces. If I was playing in a tourney i would NEVER think of doing this. I would hate myself for trying to slowplay aces - I have had enough experience losing with pocket Aces to realise that it is unwise to try and trap with them. Pretty much every time I raise between 3xBB and 5xBB with pocket Aces if i am playing a Sit and Go. I'm really not sure why I chose to min-raise here, but I accept that its not really a smart move.

Post-flop, I figured I was most likely to be ahead all the way to the river. The only time I was worried was when the turn came a 10 and he raised me - could he have been holding pocket 10s??

I appreciate the advice though guys, because I realise that this could have turned out very differently. I'm learning as I go....cash games are certainly very different from playing tournaments.

You only really want a maximum of 2 callers when you've got high pp's. If you really thought that there would be no callers if you raised to 80, then pop it up to 60, 70 - just make sure you don't let people in cheap with garbage that will be difficult to read. Like I said it depends on stack sizes.

You already know you shouldn't have min raised the Aces but I think your re re raise to $1.2 wasn't enough either.

SB has re raised out of position, and not a huge amount so you must figure he SHOULD have some sort of a hand. MP2 just doesn't want to fold, he's limped and called a re raise with the initial raiser still to act, an appalling play no matter what he's holding.

Based on that I think you can raise it bigger and still get at least 1 call. I'd raise it up to about $2 here and to be honest be pretty happy to pick up the pot right there if they do fold cos you've already made over 10 BB's without even seeing the flop!

After SB's reraise I couldn't agree more.
