Default New trend calling with bottom pair?

Why do people keep calling bets with middle or bottom pair. The last few days I've seen that a billion times with all kinds of unreal hands (obv Lee Jones gave them two pair or trips every time on the turn or river)

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

SB (t2260)
Hero (t1490)
UTG (t585)
UTG+1 (t1750)
MP1 (t1505)
MP2 (t4510)
CO (t1420)
Button (t1500)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6, 7.
UTG calls t20, UTG+1 calls t20, MP1 raises to t40, 3 folds, SB calls t30, Hero calls t20, UTG calls t20, UTG+1 calls t20.

Flop: (t200) 2, 6, 3 (5 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t120, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls t120, MP1 folds, SB folds.

Turn: (t440) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets t200, UTG+1 raises to t400, Hero raises to t1330, UTG+1 calls t930.

River: (t3100) 8 (2 players)

Final Pot: t3100

Results in white below:
Hero has 6h 7h (two pair, sevens and sixes).
UTG+1 has 7c 2h (two pair, sevens and twos).
Outcome: Hero wins t3100.

I guess when you play low cards you don't give up easily when u flop a pair which I think is fair enough, as long as you know when to let it go.

Why he was playing 27o from EP is the real question here!!!!

Had a hand similar to that in the WSOP. Had on the BB. One limper. Flop came

UTG limper bets 200, I re-raised 1000. Limper called.
Turn came limper bets 400 I re-raise 2400 UTG calls
River came
I tell UTG to fold his king I have him dominated, he checks, I bet $3600 he calls and shows the king.

What if I was telling the truth? Jerk would of been crippled. Why dont people believe me when I am lieing?

I like calling flop bets with bottom/middle pair vs a preflop raiser in a 2-3 way pot, moreso when in position and on a drawy board.

a) he may have AK and you are ahead anyway
b) he may have AA/KK and you improve to 2 pair/trips and bust him
c) it looks like your drawing so you have a lot of bluff equity if for example flush draw completes

the odds of improving are slim. Let's take NL100- you call $10 improve to two pair/trips on turn. Even if you manage to get all-in on the turn the profit wouldn't be more than $80 or so on average, since he always has outs.
