Omaha H/L: Batting 1.000
So for a lark, I decided to play a SnG that wasn't No-Limit Texas Hold'em:
PokerStars Tournament #30153474, Limit Omaha Hi/Lo
Buy-In: $1.50/$0.25
18 players
Total Prize Pool: $27.00
Tournament started - 2006/08/17 - 20:47:51 (ET)
Dear Yvraine,
You finished the tournament in 1st place.
A $10.80 award has been credited to your Real Money account.
Congratulations!
Thank you for participating.
Now, I'll be the first to admit I don't really understand this game yet. That is, however, why I think I did so well!
Whenever I got a hand which I wasn't sure whether it was any good, I assumed it probably wasn't and threw it away. So while everyone else at the table habitually capped the betting nearly every street, I just played tight and eventually got all their chips with good hands.
Memorable hand: making my full house, fives full of deuces, only to lose to quad deuces. And getting the low half of the pot anyway!
