Still getting to gripd with 6 max..
Everyone knows I'm tight as hell... but actually I defend blinds quite hard on the expectation bet.. This hand is funny because boegh85 is one of my pet fish. VPIPof 52%/pfr 26% with volume - Always plays position and he had pissed off the table big time. However he was pissed off with me because a few hands earlier I'd all-in wit J9 os on the flop with mid pair str8 draw on and cracked his two pair. (shot stacking I had odds to call) -
When I saw the flop I knew what was coming - and just let him self destruct... The nice thing is he took a few with him because he'd upset everyone.. I know its passive I was representing the nervous mid pp ..I removed the chat that followed... because the ladies...

1.) How often do you reload back up to your $5 buy-in and do you you always reload to $5, no matter how many blinds have eaten you away? I was shortstacking up to 6 full ring tables while playing a tourney and I was reloading for an extra $0.35 every orbit i.e. to $5.35, then to $5.70 and so forth.
2.) Don't you find that 6max. is counterintuitive because you ensure more PF action on your large raises in full ring as opposed to massive blind stealing in 6max? Or are you getting that action and more from people just getting stubborn and gunning for you more often?

big questions..
I tend to ss ($6 buy in here) for the first 20-30 hands. My theory is that I can simply play ABC poker (4bb late or 4bb+1bb per limper) for top pair or drift in with mid pp early.. and just play out the maths.
In general :
On very loose tables I deep stack - extreme example - pennies I think you can go to 200bb and simply push AA,KK,QQ and need nothing else.
On very tight tables the data says its easier to get folds from late and in almost an opposite way.. get ppl pot committed. (following in with pp for trips). So SS seems best option on very tight (to value- not folding a lot-just pplwho are selcting OK) tables - but of course once you hit.. you gotta go..
What I want to avoid is the hand history issue.i.e Im playing deep stack I'm into the pot for 10bb and things are getting expensive from a guy I've got no reads on with another guy feeding the pot. Essenstially I SS until I have enough info to either deep stack or leave.
What you see above is a table I've fixed with pokertracker. I got good position - the guys behind me are tight as hell and B is wild and in front and at the other side are two guys trying to call B down. I'm not going anywhere -even with a 50bb stack. Although its nice to take a chunk of B - I'm also aware of pot commitment from the other guys.
So its about my table cycle - my default (with no cards) is tight to value/position/maths (not knowing players). Once I know where I am - I know if I should go or deepen.See me playing $10/$20NL like it was play money

Cool thanks. I usually micro-NL while I'm playing an MTT. But I was mindlessly ABC'ing $25 and $50 NL while shortstaking and made an easy $100. I used the same 10% down reload rule that I use full stacked and it made up for losses and getting blinded away. I wasn't my normal play, but was a big strech either. I'd never do it in bigger than a $200 game, but I'll definitely give it a thumbs up for the mid to hi lower tables to make some easy KAYSH and scout a table.
EDIT: Yeah, Beav. You got the chat, Bob?
