Default 3rd hand...

First tourney since Monday (Best rush of my life) and it's a $30 freeze out with about 60 players. Third hand I'm looking at in middle position. There's one call ahead of me, I call, and two calls and a check (from BB) behind me. The flop is

First to act checks, I check and dude to my left thinks for a second and bets 1200 (blinds are 25/50 and everyone starts with 6000; this being the third hand, we all have approx. the same stacks). One fold after the bet then BB immediately goes all-in

I check my pants and then call. Original better thinks for a bit then calls. Original better has and BB has

So I flop the nuts (with a straight flush draw) and triple up because two other unlucky bastards flop a flush as well on the third hand of a freeze-out... I love this game.

Nice finish but I'm folding this PF and I think most here are as well.

Normally I'd fold this as well, but with the blinds this low I might consider taking a flyer on it just for flush value. I'd rather have a couple more limpers in front of me though.

Did you read the link? I probably would have last week but after the flush bonanza I had on Monday I couldn't pass it up - I had to play. Also, blinds were really cheap, it's the start of a tourney - shoot I had the calling pre-flop...

Someone raises pre-flop, I'm out of the hand. If I don't hit a flush draw on the flop, I'm out of the hand. Ace hits and someone bets, I'm outta the hand (depending on who it is)...

Ever play a hand for fun? Do you know what implied odds are?

"Do you know what implied odds are?"

No, I'm just a donkey fish that is playing because I've watched one too many WSOP re-runs.

Please enlighten me.

Early in a tourney with a structure like this, I'll definitely toss one of my 120 blinds in the pot for nut flush, top 2 pair, and set value. The implied odds are huge.

Nice hand.

Well... limping Axs is not that bad early like this... his M is well over 60, as well as all other player's M around the table...

This hand alone gives him odds to limp that hand like another million of time without taking a pot before it becomes a loosing play....

With an M under 15, I have to agree with you and toss this hand!

Good play, nice hand!

KJ
