Default Won first Real Money Tourny

Prolly mean three fifths of sod all to most of you seeing as it was only a 180 person $4 + .40 tourny, but it was huge for me, taking my entire $40 bankroll to $250.

Owe a lot to the knowledge passed on from you guys for it though, a number of times I found myself analysing not just the cards in my hand, but suddenly where the dealer was, who else was in the hand (Stack sizes) and the "Actual" value of my hand. (Rather than the piss poor conceived notion I had based on what Gus Hansen did with the same hand on WPT.)

I'd see my hole cards, I'd look at the rest of the table, the size of the pot already and who else was to act. I'd stop and ponder: "What would the PFO guys do here? And I'd promptly fold preflop.

In all seriousness though, and without blowing wind up some ass, if not for the amount I learnt in here, I'd be not only losing and losing bad. I'd be blaming luck and a rigged site, rather than my own donkiness.

Thanks

Congrats

Good job! Doesn't matter what limit or how many people, a win is a win!! I took all my money (except W$) off of 'stars and have been bonus whoring, but those 180 man $4.40 SnG's are the bomb.. I never won one of them, but cashed in quite a few. If you can beat those, you can beat alot of other games as well..

As for the comment about looking at your hole cards and taking a minute and mucking alot of cards you would normally play, I catch myself doing more and more of that these days... Then when you play a solid hand and it pays off it's that much better...

I love them 180 too....got ITM often but I always get unlucky in the last 20

Just playing one, had the chip lead in the mid of the tourney but lost it...hope to get into the top 10 at least still

Great stuff. Gus Hansen keeps the fish thinking they are sharks.
