The $4 one though ... don't mock me for posting this, please
I'm at the final table for the second weekend in a row. Is it easier on weekends because more "bad players" play?
Finished 4th last time, currently 6th in chips ...

Stakes don't matter matey, a good performance is a good performance

Marginally worse players at certain times, but don't let that detract from your good result it's not that much of a factor.

I played the $20 180 player tourney late last night (Saturday) and when it got down to 3 players, it was the toughest competition I've ever faced in an MTT. I've played this same tourney on weekdays and it was nothing.

Thanks for the encouragement.
I just seem to do an awful lot better on weekends than I do during the week!
Down to 7 but I am short-stack.
And with that ... I'm out in 7th. Not too pleased with my play at the final table, but at least I got there.Last edited by 24601; May 7th, 2006 at 11:09 AM.

Thanks for the encouragement and the kind words ... I was waiting for something that was cool for my first post as opposed to, "Hey, I finished 3rd in a one table S&G! $9 baby!"
Looking forward to lots of poker talk in the future!

Nice to have you on board.
And don't worry too much about the ritual savaging you'll get the first time you post an opinion on something

edit: eh, that went poorly. out in 10th.Last edited by missy; May 8th, 2006 at 12:43 AM.

Thought I'd post in here again, instead of a new thread. I'm not owning the tourney or anything but I am again in the $4+0.40 S&G, 12th out of 22 remaining. I think I've played well, some aggressive plays, a little bit of luck (one race won), but generally solid. That's what I'm liking here - not just a lucky river or turn saving me.
Tournament 24410798, Table 18 if you want to cheer a n00b in a low stakes tourney.
EDIT: Gone on a bit of a rush ... am now 5th out of 13 remaining!Last edited by 24601; May 8th, 2006 at 04:24 PM.
