preflop i bet pot, so i'd prolly be 3-4 more bb for anyone to call (more prolly).

then no matter if 1 person, or al of the limpers call, when i hit my set here, i bet pot.

on the turn, there will be so much at stake (b/c i think pot would be a little bigger) ill prolly either chek/call his all all in, or, just bet pot again. either way i think my $ is going in on the turn.

but if i chek preflop, i prlly do same as you and fold turn.

I'd go for a check-raise on the flop for 3 reasons

#1 - the pot is relatively small due to no pre-flop raise so you want to take advantage of a real strong hand and with that board it is likely it hit another player as well

#2 - your hand is super vulnerable to draws and you don't want to see people calling your bet. A check-raise will get more chips in the pot and defend your hand against multiple draws.

#3 - If it gets checked around you can see what the turn brings before committing more chips. if it is a dud or pairs the board you can still make the same bet and you are more likely to get called from a marginal hand. And if it is a real scary card you can check and see what happens behind you

We have to call 7913 to win 19,513. That's jsut about 2.5 -1 odds. Giving Harrington's "They're always bluffing 10% of the time", we have 10 outs (1 nine, 3 tens, 3 sevens, 3 Queens) (I really don't see him having a set) for 21.74% + 10% bluff = 31.74%, for about 2.2-1. Also given the fact you will have about a dozen bets if you lose, which is plenty, I think I call this bet. Rest of the hand looks good.

yea, i dont think u can fold this hand, despite that being a really shitty turn card, ur still getting the odds for the redraw.

on the flop tho, i bet it alot harder

In the context of the tournament I like the way you've played this, assuming you had some sort of read on the guy that he knew what he was doing.

I like the flop bet as giving a free card with so many draws would be asking for trouble.

I think there is an argument for calling his reraise on the turn, but I'd be content to fold and preserve my stack there as well.

You may be accused of weak-tightness but again, assuming the guy has demonstrated decent play I can't argue with you.

If on the other hand he has made any dubious calls or raises at all then I would push in a heartbeat.

I think you definately have to raise it PF.

I would have bet bigger on the flop too.

PF: Raise it up to 2.8k

Do you really want to bring 99 in with 5 players? Get this bitch HU to the flop.

Short & sweet .. I dont fault you for folding in a MTT
I would have done the same (I think), unless I had a solid read on this player

I don't understand the value in raising 99 preflop on the BB here.

I'm playing purely for set value (or a low ragged flop), what's the thinking behind raising?
