Default Financial advice

Personally I feel uneasy about more than $200 at any one poker site - most of my paltry winnings ends up first in Neteller then in an internet account and 30% spread across poker sites. Obviously I know what my bankroll is but more than $300 at one site is leaving you open to:

1] account freezing - this may happen - unlikely if you play str8 but you just need to get a very good streak combined with being logged at the same table as someone who's also using MSN, ICQ etc and a complaint from someone and I think you might have a bit of trouble.

2] PS is unlikely to collapse -but some of the newer/juicier sites might.

Poker is about managing risk. You should always have your capital (gambling or not) split up into high and low risk "investments". By all means know its your bankroll but there is little harm in putting 30% in an interest bearing account - somehow I find this makes me feel more secure about my BR.

Of course you could spend it..... but I think at least the 300bb limit has to be there. I work on 400bb - but there again I'm a wimp.

100BB is not nearly enough....

i had a 60bb swing yesterday at 25/5 LHE. now i know i can easily crush 25/5 LHE, but that doesnt mean i wont ever lose.

a big part of poker is money management. you guys need to learn this

just give it time. get better. play games you can afford/beat.

no need to rush into things and ruin it all in one night cuz your aces got cracked a few times and then you are back to square one.

Jack-King is right, you're bankroll is a bit insufficient but if I were you I would keep playing the same limit. If you have a 200 BB swinglike he says happens everyday:/ You can step down a level.

I think the best system for cashing out if you are really supplementing you're income with poker is: Determine how much money you can except to win at what limit you want to play. Build a BR up to 350BB at that limit. Every month cash what you expected to win. If you have a good month, you're bankroll grows. If you had a bad month hopefully you can still cash what you wanted and stay over 300BB.

Heh... swings in my roll are extremely common, it's just that this one wasn't in the usual direction.
