I had
after the flop on a Jackpot table.
I did end up losing to 3 of a kind, queens, but it was worth the rush of almost being involved in a $364,000 jackpot!Chuck Norris put the "laughter" in manslaughter..

Bro, Bad beat jackpots are not high hand jackpots.
The guy would of had to have quad 8's or better and lose to your royal flush, if it hit. So basically, you werent really close to anything but making a royal flush (while cool, not anything near taking down the jackpot).
I was pretty close one time.
I had JJ and flop came J9J, turn was a 9 river was Ace
I had quad jacks, and the guy had 9's full...only one pocket card away from 432,000 (or somethin like that)
But bad beats aren't for high hands...sorry

Anything that gets / keeps you excited about playing poker can't be all that bad, no matter if you're a little off on the terminology

Oh, I thought that I had to be behind throughout the entire hand, and then win with a Royal...

Who else is even running a bad beat online these days besides party? I know the crypto sites used to but i haven't been there in so long ... I'm surprised more rooms don't have a fixed bad Beat Jackpot - so many live cardrooms do, it seems like it would translate well to online play ... maybe i'm missing something.
