Default River brings your nut flush, but....

HEy everyone, I have a scenario that I've been seeing alot lately, and its been killing me everytime..

The river card brings me my nut flush, but at the same time it pairs the board. I have a hard time putting people on hidden sets anyway, b/c when I bet out, they are just calling me down the whole way which makes me think they are drawing too... But even when the board pairs, I still can't come to grips that I am beat, and I end up re-raising until my double clicking finger starts bleeding.

I know the easy answer is to just call the river, but any other advice for this?

Yeah its annoying to be in that position. Its slightly worst when you throw a huge bet in having already made your nuts flush on teh trun to see the board paired on the river!

Do you have some specific hand examples, might make things a little easier.

Unfortunately no, I was so pissed that I just closed the whole table and software down without even thinking about getting the hand history. But I'll try to re-enact it...

If you're on a table that has a 4-bet cap, then I'd cap it here and pay off the FH. If you're at a table that allows unlimited raises heads up, then at SOME point you have to just call, probably after getting raised two or maybe three times.

I know it sucks to see the board pair up n the river, but I just made the nut flush. I would have to raise call. One I have a live hand that only a FH or quads can beat on that board. The likelyhood of someone having either hand is slim. If I raise there and I get reraised, then I would worry about those two hands and just call. I would never be able to not raise on the river, because then I am not getting the maximum value for my hand. Yes when the unthinkable happens and my opponent has one of those hands and I lose it sucks, but it is far more likely that they will not. The only reason I would check there is if I KNEW my opponent would raise and I had him beat, so I wanted to check raise him.

    I bet/raise/Call the river.

Can't fold, and I won't fear the boat until he tells me he's got it....
