This seems to happen to me very often and even though i know their on the flush draw im scared im gonna get outdrawn and quite often do.
Lets say you have pocket 7's you raise 3 times big blind, flop comes 7/brick,Face. 2 suited cards you raise a very high amount then you called in you know he is on the draw.
And i know this, but sometimes i jus feel like not getting outdrawn. I would never fold it, because you could fill up but first off people call raises with jus 2 suited cards, is this a normal play??
Anyways, Anyone ever jus lay it down fear of being outdrawn specially when you ahve been outdrawn 5 tourneys in a row. I play a very strong game, and usually about 85 percent of the time im the fav when the money goes in.
Make them pay to draw, is always my philosophy but everyone pays.

Make em Pay
Think about this. If you dont raise then there flush never hits. You'll get no money what so ever. Make em Pay to draw, then watch them fold at the river when it never hits. You'll get burnt here and there but it's the long run youre looking at.

If they are calling you AI with a flush draw let em. Remember you can still win against a flush if the board pairs giving you potentially 9 additional outs AND the case A is still out there. It burns when you get outdrawn, but always remember your odds and whether or not its a profitable play.
Also, what is a very high amount? Is it 1/4, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, full pot bet? I usually go 2/3-2/4 the pot because I WANT him to call. If he hits the probable flush then I can play from there.Trons: "...be a winning person first."

I'm not laying down a hand just due to fear of being outdrawn, I try to play a hand based on how it unfolds. If you suspect somone is on a flush draw all you can do is give them the incorrect odds to draw to it. If they want to go against the odds there's nothing you can do so, since it is a mistake for them to chase with the incorrect odds enjoy getting paid when they make the mistake, and try to minimize how much you pay them off when you believe they filled their draw.
