Should I have capped the river here? I had the 2nd nut flush (as well as the limp straight-flush possiblility out there), and the nut low. My fear was that my high hand was no good, and I guess I've been quartered so many time with the nut low I'm getting gun shy and was afraid I was playing for 1/4 the pot.

All day long. I would cap it with a 9 high flush. if he has the 1 hand that beats you so be it, you get quartered. chances are you're the one doing the quartering or as it turns out scooping.
why just call the turn??? you will leave a lot of money on the table long term doing thatRead my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

raise the turn, raise the river
Your opponent looks like he has A3 aswell, but I would be quite suprised if you didn't get 3/4's of this one. Gotta be more aggressive

Mabye I've just been unlucky, but I've been burned so many times with K-high flush losing to A-high and nut lows getting me 1/4 of the pot that I thought that was a pretty normal occurance.

I get the flop call, trying to get some overcalls, good idea... you got the low and a good flush draw. Then whoops, they left.
Ok nut low, second flush... Ok raise him... on every street. At WORST, we chop straight up. Best we scoop.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
