Such an intense little hand, I probably should have either tossed my hand after the flop or reraised all in, I NEVER will just flat call someone down the board, but this was just one of those hands I had no idea what he had. I honestly felt I got trapped by bullets or kings but when I stopped to think about the hand I decided that was very unlikely. Just curious how others may have played this hand, I'm sure most would not have made the same river stab that I took,

forgot to add-
as much as I feel I made a great play at the end of this hand, Its one of the first times I've ever felt out played at a poker table (because I did get outplayed for a majority of the hand) not about the money at all, but after the hand I just feel really....lol shocked? is the word?I dunno.
I would feel the same if it was at the .1 / .25 tables.
blah.
go getm next time eh.

Flop bet looks too small to me...$4 into a $12 pot on a ragged flop isn't enough to chase away overcard draws consistently IMO. You've also given odds to anyone chasing the flush or straight. I think your strategy after that flop should be to try to win the pot on the spot.

Freeze the hand at that moment and consider this...by my count there are 34 possible cards that you really DON'T want to see come up -- 16 face cards, 4 8's, 3 7's, 4 6's, 4 3's and 3 additional unaccounted diamonds. Any of these cards change the complextion of things and take you from a situation of probably having the best hand to very unsure of whether you have the best hand or not. And there's a 72 percent chance you're going to see one arrive on the turn.

You'd really prefer not to be in that position. Bet the pot or slightly more and try to take it down on the spot.

Yeah, I'd say triple that flop bet and you'll be ok. After he raised your $4 bet I would've pushed in or folded. If you had gone all in he almost certainly would have folded. If you didn't want to go all in after he raised you I would've folded.

I don't understand the re-raise all-in on the river after asking him if he had sevens full.

Hey,

I woulda raised 4x bb preflop or not at all. and played flop/turn pretty much the same as you (Hate Ts out of position) --- but bet a little more on flop. Maybe try check raise on turn.

But I woulda mucked on river for sure. His 8 buck bet on turn to me either means monster or draw. and the 3d is the nastiest river card you could imagine. I mean I can see him doing what he did with Axs, but I could just as easily see him do this with 66 and of course he could have a boat...

Too many hands beat you here and I just don't see TT being good enough of the time to warrant a call.

Cheers,

Mike

havnt read the other replies yet so my opinion is all mine [whether bad or good]

(you're andrewblack, right?)

preflop: i think your bet was a little weak - everyone who called so far will most likely call for an extra dollar (and of course they did).

flop: theres a straight possibility and a flush draw. since ur bet pf was weak it would be a hard call to know what your up against. again i think your bet here was weak and it shows when you are raised.

turn: the flush is missed. if he had a 4 i doubt he would have reraised you unless he was a really aggressive player, yet it's a hard call because of your weak flop bet. since you called last round now would have been a great time to push hard for the pot. imo the hand should have ended here.

river: shows lots of possibities. straight flush, full house, flush possibility, straight possibility (Ax is a likely hand, and is what i put him on from the reraise on the flop; pocketpair is also likely), trips are possible, two pair is also possible; all of which will beat your pocket tens.

it should have been an easy laydown at the river.
