Default O8b, playing against the maniac

I hadn't played a hand in quite a while and looked down to see a hand that is playable, I decided to open-limp from the CO and see if I could get something. The BB in this hand was a total loon, really aggressive post-flop.

    STAGE #293139108: OMAHA HI/LO NORMAL $2/$4 - 2006-02-14 00:27:21 (ET)

    *** POCKET CARDS ***
    Dealt to Hero [ ]

4 folded to me, I limp button limps, SB folds and the Maniac checks.

    *** FLOP *** [ ]

Maniac bets, I raise, button calls, Maniac 3-bets, I call, button calls

I figured top pair and a weak straight wrap is probably tops, maybe the Maniac has 23 or maybe he has a flush draw, he could also have AK or is betting air.

    *** TURN ***

Maniac bets, I raise, button calls, maniac 3-bets, I call and the button calls

    *** RIVER ***

Maniac bets, I raise, button calls, Maniac folds

Thoughts on the street by street action, the flop here I was unsure of.

I'm VERY newbie to O8b, so I may be way off base, but here's my impression:

It worked out for you, it appears, but I don't like your flop raise. Odds are you're drawing to half the pot (I wouldn't think your low hand would be good), so I would have called the flop so as not to drive out the SB. Drawing to half the pot heads up is a bad idea.
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.

That hand is pretty weak at every street to me.

I avoid situations like this in O8b (short handed with a maniac).

Your comments are addressing the manaic but you have the button in the hand too.
