    Default Bad slowplay?

While I generally try to avoid slowplaying any hands I figued I'd try it here especially because MP3 was raising alot of hands and nobody was really folding much throught out alot of the streets.

    PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with , .
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, MP3 raises, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Generally I'd raise of there were just limpers but being out of position and might be up against AK I just called.

    Flop: (10.40 SB) , , (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, MP3 raises, Button calls, Hero calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Here's where I figured I'd start my slowplay I have trips with the best kicker, which I figured was a monster so I could afford to let as many people into the post as possible and not scare with any raises. Even to a donk it would be obvious I have a Q.
    Turn: (10.20 BB) (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP3 bets, Button calls, Hero calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls.

Getting even better because I picked up even more outs for the nut flush, if I reraised MP3 I was worried about driving out UTG and UTG+1

    River: (14.20 BB) (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 folds, MP3 calls, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, MP3 folds, Button caps, Hero calls.

Overall was this a bad play, I know there's potential downfalls to slowplaying, was this hand not strong enough to attempt this play on, or did I completely screw up?

    Final Pot: 23.20 BB

    Results in white below:
Hero has Ac Qc (three of a kind, queens).
Button has Qh Kc (full house, queens full of kings).
    Outcome: Button wins 23.20 BB.

Personally I don't really like slowplaying, but in this situation slow play or no slow play the other player isn't going anywhere. I think against this type of player I may have made the same play. Tough luck.

Don't slowplay a big field, it is pointless the pot is already big and you'll probably get action.

1st raise PF, suited AQ raise it, if you hit you'll trap alot of players potentially drawing dead.

BET THE FLOP, people are very willing to call 1 small bet getting 12:1 or higher, bet it, bet it, bet it.

    BET THE TURN

now you donk the river, arghhh.

    Rules about slowplaying:

    Don't slowplay against many opponents
Don't slowplay when the pot is big, even when the pot is small you often get more action when you flop a monster by betting because everyone assumes you'll slowplay it.

That being said you didn't lose this hand because you slowplayed it, you probably would have lost about the same amount either way, however if you had won the hand more would have definately come from playing it fast. You also would have had a better idea of where you stood.

This is definately true. He hit hte trips with you, but sucked out his kicker on the river. tough beat, but it was going to happen one way or another.
