Playing .50/$1 NL Hold 'em.
I am in cut off with $70
Opponent is in BB with $100+
Edit: I have![]()
Folded round to me and I make a 3BB raise since this is what I usually would make in this position.
SB reraised to 10.5BB
I am now putting him on either AK/AQ or a high pocket pair and decide to just call since the pot is already big enough and I want to disguise my hand to some extent. Is this good thinking?
2 players then see a flop off:

Opponent checks and I bet out 1/2 pot ($10).
Opponent calls
Turn is
Opponent now bets out $28, I am obviously putting him on KK/QQ (he is also capable of a big bluff too, so I don't think I am wrong to go all in here even if I consider the % chance of him having a 10)
I raise all in for another $32ish
He calls and flips over:

At first I thought oh my God what a fish but then I looked at the hand and in actual fact I don't think he made any mistakes.
Preflop he obviously was just reraising what he perceived as a blind steal and hoping to take the pot down.
On the flop when I bet $10, even if he knew I had AA, I was giving him odds of the pot's $30 + my $10 + implied odds of my remaining $60. This means he was getting 10:1 on his money, and the chance of seeing another ten or a King was 5/45 or 1 in 9.
Had I have bet $20 he would have been getting nowhere near correct odds to call, and I would instead be posting this in the River Rats section, if he did.
From the way the hand played do you think I should accept that 9/10 times I am against AK or a high pocket pair and playing the way I did is likely to make profit?
Should I just reraise to pehaps $25, and hope KK comes over the top and if he lays anything else dpwn I have still made $10 without risking my entire stack?
Should I have bet out the pot on the flop? I was hoping he was going to check raise me, but obviously he didn't.
Obviously I don't want results oriented thoughts. I think all beginners are terrified of not getting action on their aces and thought I had grown out of that, but then I see this and think am I still doing it?
Any thoughts appreciated.

I try and get the money in preflop. He almost certainly folds... but I'm raising to triple what he put in, so 30 bucks or so. I'm a huge believer in betting when you're the favorite... and you know you're the favorite with pocket aces. Postflop you may be or may not be... but preflop you're the 94 Cowboys.
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.
