SB (t1765)
Hero (t2585)

,
(6 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t150, UTG folds, MP2 folds, CO calls t150, Button folds, SB calls t150.
I hit my Queen, but I have a relatively low kicker. I bet out to test the water/maybe push out a flush drawl
Turn: (t750)(3 players)
SB bets t50, Hero calls t50, CO calls t50.
Minimal bet for a guy who completes a flush, I figure my Q is still good, plus I have a Straight draw now.

SB bets t50, Hero raises to t600, CO calls t600, SB raises to t1150, Hero calls t550, CO calls t550.

Results in white below:
Hero has Qs 7d (straight, ten high).

Outcome: SB wins t4350.

You should have folded to the reraise..in fact you don't reraise with a straight when any 2 clubs beat you....even on the turn you're hand is questionable at best. Sure you have top pair, but look at your kicker..you're playing QQ987...meaning any Qbigger than 6 has you beaten....in an unraised pot you're going to see QJ, or QK more often... You're bet on the flop is excessive is not going to push out a flush draw, in fact, it may entice them to chase the draw - depending on the callers ..
when the club fell on the turn, you should have folded there, but you called, and saw the 10 which trapped you. sorry bro, but imo, you played this really poorly.

Never ever fold to a 50$ bet on the turn here, I mean it never do it. 750$ in the pot, you are getting retarded odds and you may have the best hand.
Don't fold the river either, you can call the donk bet or you can raise if you really think you may be beat then call. But raising here is tough, because any J beats you and also any 2 clubs can be out.

why not just call on the river? you are getting great odds to call and you are probably beat.

yeah call this river instead of raising. You have a weak strait. The Jack is beatting you. also a Jack king is owning even more. Lastly any two clubs own everything. There is now point to bet this river imo. YOu usually want to bet when:
you think it will make the better hands fold (bluff)
you want to get paid b/c of your strong hand
protect from drawsI get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

To review (for me):
1. Continue the betting (don't raise) - Your getting great odds
2. Be ready to fold (I knew this, but for some reason my ego got in the way)
Is there any site I can get a quick tutorial on EQ and pot odds??
Thanks everyone! Watch out for future hands from me!

A 50$ bet from a check caller on turn is very suspesious!
But I would have called just like I would have done on the river bet. No raise OTR for sure!
If you feel like your str8 is good because of any read you have on this guy and you decide to raise, definately fold to the reraise!
Just my 2 cents!
