PokerStars SnGs have brought out the paranoia in me. So much so that if an ace hits the folp, the only guys I know don't have one in the hole are the guys betting - those that check are sitting in the bush loading their shotguns!
Your pot size bet (I liked it since the str8 is very possible) just being called by CO was immediately suspicious to me since that is often a signal the opps is setting me up. Watching tourneys on TV I often questioned why the name pros would often bet the flop but then check the turn and I've come to realize that their trying to midigate a likely trap and flush the other guy out of his ambush. Of course this is also giving up a free card and that I don't like! Unlike a ring game, NL tourneys (especially in the SnGs) have all become a game of trapping. If a guy doesn't raise or fold - he's likely trapping when your bet has taken away drawing odds as your's did with the pot size bet.
It goes against my grain to give up a free card on the turn (my No Limit training I guess) but as I play SnGs, I have become very wary of trapping and often sacifice bets to avoid getting too damaged by the bushsitters suckering me in to the river before springing out of their ambush. With two pair going in you would have a hard time getting away from the hand and its unfortunate you didn't luck in with a full house but I don't see folding this unless it crippled or elimiated me from the trouney.
