If you're in the small blind, what kind of odds do you need to call with anything?
For example, if I'm in the small blind w/ 73 suited, am getting 11 to 1 on my money and am 99% sure that the BB is going to check, should I call?

If you're a profitable player with extremely marginal hands then go ahead and call. If middle pair crap kicker tends to cost you your stack, then fold.

I'll play anything suited from the sb wtih a few limpers. 73o I'd throw away no matter what.
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.

this is what bothers me most of the time when I have the 73s in the SB. cuz first off, i hate completing if i THINK BB will check. if he doesnt, then i just wasted some $. and then i think to myself, ok, so what if the BB checks. what if the flop 3 T J? i'll most likely fold to any kind of betting anyway. and what if the flop brings 2 of your suits? am I going to call a bet hoping to get a LOW flush? what if there is a higher flush draw? then i'm pretty screwed.

But what if the flop comes 33x7x? I know the odds of that are something like a billion to 1 but you could potentially make a killing when it does.

Your only good flops are 33x ,77x, ddx (still can be beat by a bigger flush), or 37x. Anything else is highly suspect. Even ddd isn't a good flop because the only callers are those that are beating your flush or drawing to a higher one. That situation isnt going to be very profitable.
I fold 73 suited unless the game is very shorthanded.Trons: "...be a winning person first."

Hell, If there was an EP limper an d nobody else, I can raise it up too. This will usually get the BB to fold, and the EP *usually* calls, then a blank flop I can bet out and they will usually fold. Of course they, could have AA and it all backfire.
I also play very loose to a LP raise if hes first in, I'll play 56s+, getting 2.5-1 is fair enough against a possible steal, then a CR on the flop if it seems they can lay it down.
Then if it's a family pot, Just about any 1 gap Connectors or better is playable for me. 5 in, 11-1 or better is sufficient odds for almost all but the worst crap.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

You sorta answered your own question. The odds of it happening are slim, and you said that you could potentially make a killing when it does.. So even if you hit a hidden monster flop like that, you still have to hope villians will give you action.

I guess that's the general consensus. It just seems strange to not call $0.10 on the $0.25 tables when you're getting +11 to 1 on your money.
