I had pocket 4s, flopped A32. Everyone checked around. Turn was a 5. I bet, got reraised, everyone else folded, I reraised, villian capped it, and I called. River was an 8. There was no flush possibility. I bet, he raised. Stupidly, I decided to just call. I knew having pocket 4's, there was very little possibility that he had one of the 2 remaining 4s. He'd only beat me with a 4-6, in which case, his bet's on the turn wouldn't make sense. But I still didn't raise because I'd suffered so many bad beats. These are micro limits, and people play eratically. Turned out he had a Q 5.

I'm gonna try putting a piece of tape over my stack display, so I'll just focus on making plays that I know are correct, and not be results oriented. Follow that with meditation.

I have sympathy for you. It has taken me a while to get into the mode of making the correct bets regardless of the outcome. I used to just limp with all my strong hands because I figured that I would just get called by everyone anyway, and then get drawn out on. I re-read SSH and remembered why to raise and have been very successful since.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R
KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

It just happened. I had pocket k's, flopped a rainbow of undercards. 2,4,8. There was a bet, I raised. they just called. I thought I was ahead, since anyone with a set would've reraised. Then another 4 on the turn, a bet, I called. I probably should've raised again. River was a Q. No flush possibility. I remember thinking the only thing that could possibly beat me now was going to be a 4 set, the likelyhood of which was low. It happened, and I lost more money.
