Default Did I do anything wrong here?

Or did I just get unlucky?

don't fear the quads. although there was a flush draw and you could have sweetenend the pot a little on the flop.

It wouldn't have helped you, but I would have bet the flop - I don't like slowplaying with a flush draw on the board.

How the the WORLD does tm-79 not raise you on the river? Count yourself lucky you didn't lose your stack.

I was kind of suspicous when he called my $6 bet on the turn as I didn't really put him on an overpair.

Side note: 10 hands later I had pocket 6s and flopped a set. That hand went a lot better.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm definitely not good enough to make that kind of laydown. But why would I bet the flop? I had a full house so I wasn't worried about the flush.

Sorry - you're right. Misread the hand. Though the turn and river brought the 2's and you just had the set on the flop.

tm had to be almost all in anyway, like only 75c left or so.

the reason I would bet the flop is that you are liable to get money from the flush draws and any other pocket pair as well as some over cards. May as well start building a pot.

BTW... nobidy is good neough to fold that hand... Maybe Phill Hellmuth would have fold the flop cuz he would have been afraise of the ducks, but its another story.

To answer your question qhy bet the flop?:

Take money from the FD Over pair and even over cards...
But, the main reason is to fake a good hand and hide the monster. Nobody will put you on a FH when you play the streets if you bet that flop... 95% of the players check the monster on the flop online.

I wouldnt worry about the 2 though, thats one of those hands that are set up and you will lose money by playing correctly... all you can do is go for a read (which Im guessing yuo didnt have, as he seems to be paying the blinds before the hands are dealt so i guess he just joined), or play with small stacks. But that just means when its your turn to be set up like that you wont win as much.

Id bet so much on the river though if I were him. Flush draw came up, he puts you on a full house so he should know a big bet would show you he was drawing dead and made the hand..
