This is so true. Pok, last night when we were playing I must have showed you 3-5 hands where people called me down with middle pair.

I know you read SSH so play an initial seating at at table as a loose table.

Whether you want to raise AK in the blinds is your choice, I've set my new rule as raise AKs and check/call AKo. I did this for two reasons which may actually be of interest to Beavis. They are both related though. 1) AKs allows you that extra dimension of hitting a flush. 2) When you catch your flush draw, most players are going to be aware of this and bet at you on the flop which allows you to raise and build the pot for the penultimate hand you were playing for anyway. If you catch it on the turn action is going to die, so this way you got the money in early when you tend to lose out late.

I know I only saw about 60 hands with you last night and I am by far an expert, but I think overall you are playing a little passive. You know to bet your strong hands, but you seem to be a little gunshy to bet your better equity hands. Doing so will dramatically improve your win rate IMO.

This is all constructive criticsm Pok, cause you're my boy...you know that.

    check the pf
check-raise the flop - button would have capped
    check-raise the turn
bet the river and cap if possible

You are probably not getting off two check-raises in this hand without shitting your pants a little because the button is going to reraise both of em. Are you going to cap the flop and the turn in the face of two reraises? If not, then this would be donking the hand since you have to put someone on a set or trips at this point and pissing bets looking for a 6 outer A or K is not wise.

Don't get me wrong, but this hand should have been lost badly. Anyone wanna run pokerstove on the flop, turn and river?

this is a great example of an arguement for raising. if you aren't going to fold this hand post flop, why not get some extra bets from the guys playing J9s and such?

    i probably raise pf.
then raise again on the flop.
if its capped on the flop, then i check-call the turn.
when that ace hits the river. i cap it.
