Default general adjustments for turbo tournmanets?

How should you play differently in these tournaments?

    hehe, what he said ^

I stay away from them to solve the problem. The .10 turbos on PS could prove profitable. I mean, for 5.00$ you get 50 tries. The chances you win one by going all-in a majority of the time (i.e. not with 2/7o) have got to be pretty high.

wait till the 3-4th level and then start playing like a donk. an agressive donk.

    This helps him how?

You just gotta pick your spots when the stacks get low. Go for hands with good Equity.

dont let you stack get low in the first place.

it is all about gambling in the right spot and finding the tiniest edges.

if you build a stack, feed off the short stacks.

Ive found, that if you can position yourself in the top 1/2 in chips early, you can then pick people off as they blind down. If you get short stacked push a lot of Ax and any two T+.

If you think it's going to be a coinflip, make the opponent make the tough decision. Don't be calling an all-in, hoping the best to be a coinflip unless you're huge chip stack. Because if you chose to go all-in vs low pocketpair like your (6-6) vs (9-9) your going to lose almost all the time.

when i say donk I mean loosen up. levels 3 and up are important b/c now each pot you enter is fairly significant. You must be willing to bust out if you wanna build your stack.

In a turbo I am frquently pushing all in preflop with hands such as 88-AA, and any two cards above a Ten.

Position is obviously important. If your a weak player who dosn't take risks, with 5 minute blinds, you will be toast. (unless you hit a streak of lucky hands)

If your lucky to get near bubble (by this time average stack is prolly 10bb) try to take down 2-3 pots preflop every orbit.

This is my MTT strategy for Turbos. STT Turbo is a whole different game imo.

I actually play exactly the same way as I do a regular tourney. When my M is over 10 I'm looking for equity edges in my cards, between 7-10 I'm looking for good spots to steal pots with a limper or two allready in or to get all-in against desperate players, and below 7 I'm trying to get all-in with live cards two or three times an orbit.

It's just that your M is way down in the danger zone a lot more in turbos then in regular tourneys... and so is everyone else's, so a lot more bets get called.
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.
