35 hands after having sat down at the table, 1st decent hand I'd seen. I almost called out of frustration but I'm really trying to prevent myself from doing that.
The villain in this case seemed to be calling PF with any 2 cards and then chasing to the river if he caught any piece of the flop. Shortly before this I had seen him call a 6xBB raise PF w/ 97os and then chase his GSSD for way more $ than he should have.

So as I keep playing with this guy, I realise just how insane he is.
He literally calls any PF raise w/ any 2 cards. If he gets any part of the flop, he will call it right down to the river.
A hand shortly after....
Villain has Q5 suited, calls a 6xBB raise PF. Catchs bottom pair (5's) and called $5 down to the river.
Strangly, he rarely bets....even with top pair. I've seen him bet 2 hands since I sat down, the one above being one of them. Not sure what that means exactly but I figure it means he has a monster.

Laydowns are my biggest problem. I'm always second guessing myself, even in situations like this where it may blatantly obvious to most.

if thats what hes playing then you need to be making huge preflop raises with QQ or not raise at all if hes going to come into the pot anyway. You did what you could, but if this guy might get into a pot with you you need to make it painfull even just to limp.

cold call on the flop.. flush draw? I wouldnt check on the turn, I'd bet maybe 40% of the pot to destroy his odds. you can see he wasnt willing to put anymore in than nessecary until he got his last heart.

I nearly wrote that, but I think with an ace he would react differently to your bet, his bet on the river is either real with the flush or using the second ace a sa scare card since he did absolutely nothing on the flop... with his hand already made, Id think he would be more eager to bet. from your bet on the flop he would guess youre not drawing, but you bet a fair amount so he could be worried about a better kicker, or possibly 99,.. I may have just confused myself but Id expect either a raise or a fold if hes made his pair of aces. Unless hes playing tricks then that call says to me he wants some hearts .. thats how Id see it, although I dont know what hes like so I may well be wrong

good fold on the river considering he probably had a heart flush.
he checked the flop and turn, did you really think he had an ace? i would bet the turn, probably about 1/2 the size of the pot(to give him improper odds to draw) after he has now told you he is weak, twice. but you checked, heart fell, and suprise suprise he comes out betting. you showed good discipline on the river though, which tells me your heart is in the right place.
to further prove my theory of him not having an ace, did you notice the river card? odds are now significantly less he played an ace. if he checks the flop with an ace most people would raise after you bet. thats when you fold. when he doesnt raise, then checks the blank turn...
