Default Should I have just flat called PF?

Anytime I try and get fancy with my A's, I usually wind up getting beaten. So lately I've just tried playing them straight up, re-raising PF, on the flop, etc. While I'm at least winning pots, I'm not winning big ones.

Should I have just called PF or do you think the re-raise was still a good idea?

Texas Hold'em $0.25-$0.25 NL (real money), hand #39,588,635

You can't argue with results, thats for sure.
And winning a small pot is a lot better than losing a big one, something I've learned the hard way, but I'm just trying to find ways to win more money with my big hands.

for your own sake do not play AA weak preflop.

I like the way you played it...
A bit big of a bet on the flop, but I sometime do it aswell... overbets draw some calls... even raises.

Yeah, maybe a bit large of a bet. Seems like the only thing your worried about is Pocket Jacks. Maybe a smaller probe bet to see what he does. Try to draw a call. You had a fairly large advantage.

Now see, I play micro-limit, so I would have to worry about Pocket Jacks, 8-5, 5-J, 8-J, etc. You get the idea.

instead of thinking that you forced him to fold when he could have given you more money...think about how you got more money out of him BEFORE he missed the flop and decided not to call anything.
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.

    Interesting. I like that.
And thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback. I've already seen my game improving since I started posting on this site only a couple weeks ago.

Seems played OK to me, I try to narrow the field with AA and don't flat call too often.

I would consider it if you're early in the betting and are pretty sure that someone is gonna raise the pot behind you prior to the flop, that way you re-raise and push more chips.

The other time I have slow played AA is as a short stack in a tourament with alot of limpers but purely for value.

What do you guys think about slow playing AA as short stack, or would you all in and possibly get one caller or just take the blinds?
