I give little value to high hands. Ill limp in with some strong high hands in late position, but really about 80% of the hands I play are low hands like A2x, A3x, 234, A24 etc..
Example:
9 handed
huntress1 posts the small blind of $.25.
66Buffalo66 posts the big blind of $.50.
gder03: Kh Td Ac Jh
Pre-flop:
KittyKat18 folds. gder03 folds. ruthless calls. etc..
even if this was double suited, when im second to act in full ring, im prlly tossing it.
Low hand example:
faded11 posts the small blind of $.25.
SLAYER MIKE posts the big blind of $.50.
gder03: 9h Ac 2d 6d
Pre-flop:
gemark folds. huntress1 calls. eddo folds. 66Buffalo66 folds. KittyKat18 calls. gder03 calls. ruthless folds. trifecta76 folds. faded11 folds. SLAYER MIKE checks. etc...

I'm not really sure what your question is but here goes.
AKJT is an ok hand for 1 bet. It is much better with a suited Ace or even King, Jack, or Ten. There is nothing wrong with mucking it from up front unless you have a suited Ace then you are losing some profit.
I play a similar style
EP,
A2
A3 with something else going for it like another wheel card, 2 broadway cards, a suited high card preferably an Ace, a pair, or 2 low cards like 78
AA with a wheel card or suited Aces or 2 broadway cards or a pair of 99-KK
2345 or 2346
MP,
Here I loosen up a bit and will play
any A3 for 1 bet
any 4 high cards T-A
AA with a suited Ace
LP,
for 1 bet I'll add
any 234 or 235
A45 with a suited Ace
A4 with 2 broadways and a suited Ace
most AA hands
KK ds with 2 wheel cards like KK25
any 4 cards 9-K
Those are just my general guidelines and I'll change it based on table conditions and active opponents.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

unless the game is really aggressive I play this hand every time. the suited K gives you good back-up. out of 11k hands, I have only had this hand twice though.....
