Default Was I right with this move?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (7 handed) converter

    MP2 (t8418)
    CO (t5691)
    Button (t5745)
    Hero (t7230)
    BB (t2320)
    UTG (t7880)
    MP1 (t1375)

Preflop: Hero is SB with , .
    1 fold, MP1 raises to t400, MP2 calls t400, CO calls t400, 1 fold, Hero calls t300, 1 fold.

Obviously, MP1 is SSed and desperate. I felt I had some seriously decent odds to call the raise...

    Flop: (t1800) , , (4 players)
    Hero checks, MP1 bets t600, MP2 folds, CO folds, Hero raises to t1400, MP1 calls t375 (All-In).

I like this flop. I figured MP1 would be all-in on it (pot commited) and I wanted to see how everybody else reacted before I made a decision...I figured in this case, being EP and checking would actually put me in LP. I also figured that if somebody else called, we might be able to check it down to bust this guy...when nobody else called, I figured I had the best of it...Given how he was playing, I put him on overcards...he had been pretty tight for the last 20 hands or so.

    Turn: (t4175) (2 players, 1 all-in)

    River: (t4175) (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: t4175

    Results in white below:
Hero has 8d Td (one pair, eights).
    MP1 has 7c 7d (three of a kind, sevens).
    Outcome: MP1 wins t3750. Hero wins t425.

Risking 1k to win 2800 post-flop seems like a solid decision to me. Obviously, he can't fold anything there... and there are a ton of hands he could have that you have beat.
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.
