Default Does anybody give any thought to laying this down?

I am playing a 10 seated game of .50/$1 NL Hold 'Em, I have just bought in with $75. BB has $200+, MP has $100ish.

I am holding in late position and have limped in.

6 players see the flop of:

The SB, BB and UTG all check, MP bets $4 and I call, then the BB raises to $20, and the MP makes a minimum reraise to £36 (everyone else has folded).

Edit: I know I should have raised flop bet, but given I didn't.

I jam the rest in. If I'm beat to 777, oh well. I can't see myself laying down my set of 6s here. He could just as easily have 67 or an overpair. there are some hands you just can't get away from, and unless the board is more threatening like 678 then I'll put it in.
    sites I play on:
    Pokerstars for tournaments
    Ultimatebet for Omaha
SupremePoker.com for short handed NL ring games.

Nah you gotta push here, not much choice. My guess is you are either up against 2 pair (K6, K7 or 76) or a flush draw/straight, someone may easily have an 8s9s and you are pretty much a coin-flip with him.

I don't give discounted outs much consideration in your example but more for high cards on a textured board. Say you had :good: and the flop comes up . Now if the an Ace comes on the Turn, there are two pair for you and a very possible str8 for someone else. So while on the flop the 3 Aces outs are only worth about half since they can inprove your hand but make someone else a better hand.

In your example, you could discount overcard hearts since those hearts might make someopne a better flush than your's but only by maybe a 1/3 (or less)since they still need two in the pocket or 4-flush by the river. So in your example, you can account for 4 hearts leaving 9 outs including the A,K,Q,J, T, 9, 7 & 6 - discounted to about 9 - (8/3) = 6.34. In real time and at the table, I don't do the math - just take into account my outs are not as strong and play accordingly. That is I might just check it down on the River unless I sense weakness (on the Turn, I would still bet to make a single pocket heart pay for the suckout flush).

Edit: What the hell happen to the original post from Beav? I've seen stepping on a tread before but not so bad the original was totally removed!!!

no way in a hundred years would i lay this down.. the only hand that has u beat is 77....and set over set, so rarely happens, that i dont think u should ever account for it (set over set has only happened to me twice before, and i happened to win once out of those 2 times by making quads on the river )... KK would have raised preflop.. so im putting these guys on either KQ, a 2pair (possible that someone limped in with K6s or K7s, or 67s), or possible OESD + FLUSH DRAW hand like 89 of spades.. or a hand with middle pair + flush draw, like 78 of spades.. so therefore, if no one here has pocket sevens.. ur a huge favourite to win the pot.. this is a great spot to get all your money in the pot (im guessing that if someone has a OESD+FLUSH DRAW at best.. ur still 60% chance to win right?).. so im pushing all-in here when it gets back to me..

what are the results? im sure u didnt lay this monster down.
