1. Do I cap preflop?
2. Do I fold the flop? I felt he could have 3 bet preflop with AJ/AQ... Anyway, didnt know what to do so I checked/called to the river. Any advice if a hand like this comes up again?

If you respect the player, a 3-bet of your EP raise from the BB should only be for value... so I would call. If I don't respect him, I cap.
I normally go to war on the flop if I have any kind of made hand like this... I would have raised and capped if re-raised.-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.
