    Default Too weak for all-in?

    Sorry I don't have the hand history - I requested it from Pokerstars but only got the tournament summary and not the hand histories but it was my last hand and I remember it quite well as it's been bothering me since.

    Situation - 27 player SnG and we just got into the money and I'm short-stacked and UTG with the Chip Leader in the Big Blind.
    Stacks:
    Small Blind = 8,200
    Big Blind = 13,400
    UTG (me) = 4,200
    MP = 8,800
    LP = 5,900

    Sm Blind = 300
    Big Blind = 600
    Antes = 25
    So the pf pots are 1125 giving me 3.7M and I'm in the BB next hand. Table had been passive but now that we're all inside the bubble I'm not sure how aggressive it mght become but I don't figure to wait to find out.

    I get . I have first vigourish and go all-in. MP, LP and SB all fold but BB calls with . I don't pair up and his hold up.

    My question - was enough for an all-in? Should I have just limped or folded? Would it make a difference if it were suited? I figure I made a move I had to but am looking for outside prospective and maybe alternate thinking. I think my biggest problem was I only had 3.7M and I was going to be in the BB next hand and didn't like the prospects of having to pay the blind and maybe having a much weaker hand but BB would only be 17% of my stack and if I folded that, the Sm Blind would have been only 7.6% if I folded it. Should I have waited for a better hand?

    Yeah... you still got 7 blinds... K9 is not the spot you want to be picking... bite the bullet and take the 1.5 blind hit and get another ten hands.....
    Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

    i dont like the push. i would fold here. limping is out of the question.

    you are in fine position and can wait a few more hands. id rather open push any 2 on the sb/button than k9 from utg
    it's better to be pissed off than pissed on

    I say 70% of the time you pick up 1000
    when you get called you are about a 2:1 dog.

    so, 10% you gain 4300
    20% you lose 4200

    700+430-840=290, so you gain about 290 doing this. Looks good to me.

    This is given they will call with AT+ ,KQ, and 55+. If you think they will call with KJ and QJ and KT is and worse Aces it will change things more, because as you can see your profit comes from fold equity.

    I agree that its not a hand for all in here and agree limping would not be an option.

    Fold.

    Take some more hands and hope for some luck, and read to how the actions of the table change before picking a better moment.

    If the table is passive (almost certainly due to the closeness of the prize stages) you would have more success building your stack just outside the prizes and against the shorter stacks who are likely playing for a money spot. Risky but depends how much you want to scrape into that final place prize or whether you want to progress into the higher places.

    i dont think you would pick up blinds more than 50% of time but i dont wanna argue over splitting hairs. I dont think its a terrible or great play really, although in my experience pushing King middle kicker usaully isn't very succesful. I like to push something like JTs that has outs to more premium hands and isnt as screwed when called by holdings like AK AA KK KQ KJ or any ace

    im probaly proving myself wrong but i really dont care if i look stupid : )
    (Also these arent calls id make just calls i see made alot )
    Id say you probaly going to get call by anypair 5 or higher , AK AQ AJs KQs and i would guess there is atleast one donkey on table who would call with any ace or any pair. If the big stack has been acting as the policeman and everyone else folds around i would expect to get called with any 2 face cards any pair and posibly any ace.
    All these expectations apply only to a low limit buyin $10 or less because that is all i play.
