Personally I would have bet more on the flop...probably 250 leaving just enough odds for a flush draw to still want to draw. You have a real nice set and I'm still looking to provide it just enough protection. You may now only get 1 or two callers, but with 1 caller you can control the pot and with a 2nd caller you are up 200 more already over what you actually acheived with the 100 bet. On the turn youve got a relatively safe card because the liklihood that an opponent holds AJs is low since it would be the case J. However you have left the possible exposure of Axs because of the tiny flop bet that you got a lot of riders with.

I'm going to fork the commentary here:

    A. Hand played your way- 4 players on the turn- You now have 2 potential flush draws available plus the gutshot straight draw. With the 100 bet any of these hands could have stayed along for the ride. 89 might add profit to the bigger bet, T9 and now you're beat by a straight. I'm still thinking my hand is good, but the butterflies are churning now. With your 350 bet you have left 4-1 odds on the table for callers. If UTG called you here I'd have to think you were dead since he'd be pot committed. He folded, but what would you have done if he called or raised? You got two callers. On the river you're either going AI or checking to the CO. At this point I may have checked and at least had the option to call, but the AI was fine too. If you just let yourself get played the AI leaves you with no out, which I dont like. With the blinds at 25/50 you can still rebuild even if you lay down, which is unlikely with a set.

    B. Hand played my way- 1 or 2 callers on the turn (t. 1250-1500) I'm now ruling out the spade draw because its unlikely someone is sticking around with it after my 1/3 pot bet. I am also fairly confident that gutshots have bowed out although its a slight possibility they called the 4-1 odds particularly if it was the CO who would have been offered 5-1 if there were a caller in the middle. I'm raising this 800. I want to really discourage the flush draw now, and I'm thinking its likely someone is on two pair. If I get reraised I'm calling the AI and if I get called I'm not sweating the river at all. If everyone folds I take down 850-1100 chip profit which is a nice gain on a 1450 original stack and now I am 2nd to the table captain.

Any of the better players care to comment on my thoughts?

If you fold a flush draw on the turn getting 4-1 and with an active player who has called along so far behind you you're throwing away a bunch of equity.
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.

I hate that small bet on the flop. It could be a blocking bet, a player that may have bet his A7 or something may just call now, and you are letting the draws stay in cheaply - so you are getting no info.

I would prefer a check to the small bet.

preflop no ones is gunna fold to your raise, call instead or check. if you wanna raise pf, make it respectable amount.

flop check raise this. if you wanna lead out bet a little more than 100. good turn play. good river. that fool prolly thaught the 7 in his hand was relevant.

I would have raised 300 or so on the flop for no other reaosn than I don't want to let anyone hit their flush cheaply. you got alot of action preflop the pot is already a good enough size for someone to fancy their flush draw I'd then take the pot on the turn going all in. Co obviously doesn't have a clue lol and any 9 would have wiped you out here, so the river bet is maybe a little much, but then you have to take risks sometimes.
