    He made a pot sized bet on a scary board after you both checked.
    I'm calling and betting the turn regardless, or reraising.

    In fact preferable to both is being first to bet the flop and doing exactly what he did.
    A good education is expensive but ignorance costs more.

    Agreed big time. I dunno, something just seemed really fishy to me at the time. In hindsight you guys are probably right.
