Just to clear something up. If I'm playing pot limit, and there is $50 in the pot, and someone bets $50, can I raise $100 up to $150, or can I only raise $50 up to $100? My friends and I are going to take a break from our usual NLHE and play pot limit dealers choice on Thursday. Should be fun, I can't wait to spring Pinnapple on em.

In most cases, you would be able to put $200 in the pot (raise $150)...the $50 in the pot, plus the $50 bet, plus the $50 you have to put in to call = the amount you can raise.
As with all things though, whatever you and your friends agree to beforehand takes precedent.

keep this in mind, you can always call the pot and then you can double it AFTER the call, so shade is more than correct
50 in pot + 50 bet + (50 call + 150 raise) <--- your bet
