In a situation like this you have to call right? I felt bad because I was basically doubling up a guy when there were four people left and only 3 get paid. The converter doesn't say it but that guy went all in on a desperately short stack, and I had already posted a 200 chip blind.

He pushes any two you call any two here.

I dont think that the call is mandatory.
Although if as bonch says, he does push with "any two" they you have the odds.

its at times like this in a SNG that, if im the button with his stack, or any position with his stack, im calling the blind and calling the sb all in and hoping the bb doesnt get fancy and we knock him out between us....
also, im not sure i woulda called him in your position.....sure he was probably gonna push with anything, but id like to have a little stronger hand to call him

it seems fairly easy call to me, your calling 415 to win 815, with the added bonus of possibly eliminating another player, so even against two over cards (which is what he probably has) its a good call. Its a shame to double him up, but he gets 50% of what he gains if you fold PF, so its hard to justify not calling on those grounds.
I love him who is ashamed when the dice fall in his favour and who then asks: Am I then a cheat? for he wants to perish.

this is the place where chip EV does not equal $ EV.
The math is very complex at this point.

you fold, you are at 5000 chips he is at 840 chip.
Things havent change much.
You call, and you a either in the money, which you were almost quaranteed anyway.
Or you are down to 4400 chips, he is up to 1200 chips.

ah now i probabley woulda called here in the old days, but i'm going to go against the grain and say no.. why? This mofo is shortstacked with one player left until the money, now unless the other two players are crazy they arn't going to do anything much outta line until that one fool is gone, Everyone wants him out and he looks like the easiest target, but the longer he stays around the better it is for you. Fold here and wait for pots were your in position to raise the other two players when the short stack has already folded. And it doesn't matter what cards you have cause the other two will be playing really tight. Build your stack as much as possible until one of the other player knock him outta the tourny, which we'll give you momentum and chips into the final 3 to win the sng
