If its heads up on the turn, always call?
Is the possibility of someone betting a draw or nothing high enough to always call?
What about top pair low kicker? I'm usually quite agressive so my raises don't mean anything. I cant use them for information, is it better to fold or check call to the river?
I often play against tight agressive player, and I wonder if check/calling to the river is corect, since they could be betting/raising with about anything.
I most of the time have a pretty loose table image... so whatever I do wont make them back off.Last edited by tdq; 01-06-2006 at 01:46 PM.

Before I would decide whether to continue with the hand or fold, I'd ask myself at least these questions:
1. Is the betting and the board consistent with top pair having been outdrawn? The examples that Beavis gives above are good ones. In the first, the action and the board are consistent with both draws that hit on the turn (the straight and the flush), and so there is a very high probability that top pair is no longer good. In the second example, if you didn't get re-raised on the flop, there isn't much reason to think that the K helped anyone who is still in the hand.
2. Do I have any redraws? For example, if you have JT on a board of T94Q, then you have an open-ended straight redraw, a way to win the hand even if the Q helped one of your opponents.
3. What are the pot odds? If a redraw is possible, the pot odds will tell you if you should pursue it. If none is available, then you can evaluate how often your call has to be correct for you to have a positive EV in a showdown.
