Note: I normally don't raise with A8os, its a very unusual play from me. Also I made a very weak raise once I hit my trip, much less than I normally would raise - it was a pretty weak play but thats beside the point.
I was definitely going to call with the one guy who went all in, I have a better kicker for sure, obviously (unless he made a full house, if so I cant do much about that). But when the second guy went all in I had to pause a second and consider. There are only 4 8's, and 2 are on the board...we can't possibly all have trip 8s, so I'm thinking there are only 3 options
1). The guy who re-raised all in is retarded. Unlikely.
2). The first guy was bluffing and the second re-raiser actually had the last 8. Unlikely.
3). The first guy has trip 8s, but the second re-raiser was slow playing trips on a rainbow flop and now has a full house. Likely.
In the end I didn't have the ability to fold my trip 8s and this is what happened. Would you fold?

The COs raise on the turn sets alarm bells ringing, either he has trips or AK, if he has trips its 50/50 on the over or under, given that he called a 100 preflop raise , I'm tempted to think its the over, that said, I think I'm still calling.
Set over Set is rare enough that its probably better to call than fold, although I havn't done the maths on that.A good education is expensive but ignorance costs more.

I would never have seen that one coming - shows just how inexperienced I am. Often I find myself worrying too much about what one guy has got (the other 8) and not what the other has (pocket kings). I'd assume I had the strongest hand with an A kicker and play accordingly. Yeah, criminally bad tactics I know but give it time. Every post I read like this helps me.

YOu can't get rid of it... no way.... you're way to good odds to stay in.... especially since you have the field covered, not by much, but somebody is going home this hand and it ain't you.
But seriously, Fold this PF without thinking... Too early to steal.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
