that aside, im leading into this flop with my KK and if raised, then depending who raised it up, i may call or fold.....if MP2 raises, he doesnt have a Q or else hed want action from MP3......if MP3 puts in a raise or if he calls a raise from MP2, then its down to reads as to whether hed raise now with a Q or not.....id be leaning towards a fold if he raises flop tho.

as others have said, check calling that flop tells u nothing and just prolongs your agony as to what to do until the turn

if my bets gets called on flop by both guys, then its reads again as to what i do on turn.....is MP2 calling with a Q or in hope and is MP3 gonna overcall without a Q......id lean towards checking turn and see what happens

I think you made the correct play there with KK, I mean lets think about what you could beat:

AK
JJ
1010

I'd say JJ and 1010 are fairly unlikely, and with another caller in the pot someone probly has a queen. Smart laydown, not weak

I hate those hands OOP.

The check-raise is a viable play here... but you're putting a lot of chips at risk in a situation where you're only likely to get called if you're losing.

Betting out is okay, but an aggressive player may make the big raise and take your bet away from you with rags... and what do you do when you get called?

Check/call though is utterly horrible. Your hand isn't going to improve, and they are going to bet again on the turn and river. If you don't think you're best now, lay it down or try to get them to fold!

I think from a risk/reward ratio betting out is the best play. You'll be successful less often when your opponents bet you out with hands you beat ... but with the check/raise you're putting the tourney at stake hoping they don't have a Queen. The biggest advantage to the check/raise is that when there is a bet AND a call in front of you, you can probably comfortably lay your Kings down with your question answered. I just hate those situations where is simply isn't likely that you get called by a losing hand when a lot of your chips are going into the opot.

I like the check raise in this spot. Not all the time of course, but if I feel like making a move and have any read on my opponents its a powerful move. I would mostly bet out into this flop, but most players who hit this flop are checking to try to trap. Typically someone raising me has me beat, which is why I like to mix it up with a check raise here. The guy who bets out probably has nothing and will lay it down when i come over the top.
